Hilton Head Island

Summer is a hectic time around here, so you can go ahead and expect less frequent posting. I was talking to someone today and realized that we always think we can squeeze in so many fun activities, yet we only have 8-10 weekends to cram it all in. Somehow we have to fit normal life in there too. So in between birthday parties, swimming pool adventures, weekend jaunts to the zoo, and summer camps, I'll try to find some time to document our summer on the old blog.

We started the summer fun a little early this year with a trip to the beach. I hadn't been to Hilton Head since I was a little girl and Wes had never been. We were excited for the boys to get to have some playmates with them who were close in age. I'm happy to report that the kids all got along quite well and none of us got tired of one another!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the trip.

Harbor Town

My early birthday present (it's the yacht on the left)!

All the kiddos at the house - waiting to be served I'm sure.

One cooperates.

One doesn't.

A staple of our trip.  These are no joke.  If you see them, buy them because they are hot items!  Since returning to KY, I have yet to find them.  De-lish!

There's another special post coming up about Colin and his sweet friend, Sidney.  They had such a great time together (:

It was sad to say goodbye to our dear friends at the end of the week but it was nice to get back to our normal routine - there are only so many days I can be away from my kitchen! Of course I'd give anything to go back tomorrow!

  2. I love HHI! Looks like y'all had a great time! Ha, my roommate brought home those lime beers a couple weeks ago. I haven't tried one, but she was loving them!

  3. Love the pics, looks like you guys had some nice weather. I've heard they've been having a rain streak there lately. I could so go for a beach trip right about now (without the rain of course)!

  4. Such fun pictures from Hilton Head! I KNOW some place in Lexington has those Lime-a-ritas...because over Memorial Day weekend I went to my friend's pool and a guy was drinking them. He said they were awfully tasty, haha. I think he MAY have said Liquor Barn on Richmond Road but I'm not positive...sun was making me sleepy :)
