Our friendship grew so much during those 9 months. We talked almost daily comparing notes on our new growth, aches and pains, nervous jitters, and baby products. It was so nice to have someone in the same boat as me whom I could talk to.
Our children ended up being born 6 days apart. Even though we're not in the same city, we've managed to keep our children friends. We've joked that they will get married some day. Wouldn't it be awesome to be best friends with your in-laws? Let's not rush things!
Like I said, the kids don't get to see each other often but when they do, they pick right up where they left off. They exchange cards on various holidays and gifts for birthdays and Christmas. It was no surprise that they became thick as thieves on our vacation. I loved hearing them talk to each other about who knows what (thank you for giving my ears a break!) and many times we caught them doing this on their own accord.
At one point, I overheard Sidney ask her mom if she could kiss Colin. Her mom told she didn't think that was a good idea right now. Slow down, lady, that was only your second date! Colin sometimes likes to play hard to get.
I can only hope that his first girlfriend is as sweet and adorable (and well-behaved) as Sidney! I hope the 2 of them remain friends forever!
Too cute! I love how Colin looks slightly uncomfortable at the idea of sitting that close to a girl.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet!! I love the picture of her resting her hand on his shoulder. Colin's first g/f is Syndey!! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I love the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI had hoped that my best friend and I would have kids together but they are eight years apart. They still love each other and have this adorable big sister/little brother relationship!
Yes, Sydney is totally Colin's first girlfriend! They are too cute! I can't believe grown up they both look just strolling around and hanging out!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely adorable!
