Change of Dinner Plans

I have some unfortunate news for my fellow Lexingtonians.  One of the greatest, at least in my opinion, ice cream shops is closing.  It's true, Graeter's is closing their doors THIS FRIDAY!  Now I'm not a huge ice cream lover but when I did get the craving, I wanted Graeter's.  The others pale in comparison to their rich, creamy, loaded-with-big-chunks-of-chocolates/nuts/candy, taste.

To cope with my mourning, I've decided to live on the edge for the remainder of this week.  We will be having ice cream for dinner!  Pumpkin tonight, toffee chip tomorrow, butter pecan or some other nut variety on Thursday, sadness on Friday.  Wes will surely indulge on PLAIN vanilla.  Actually, Graeter's is one of the only places where he splurges on an actual flavor and not just vanilla.

Here's the article in case you need to read it for yourself.  I thought it was a farce until I read it with my own 2 (4) eyes.

  3. I still can't believe they are shutting down ALL of the Lexington stores with the faint promise of re-opening "sometime in the Spring" ... a sad day all around. That said, I'm thankful I live in Cincinnati during times like this ... the mecca of the Greaters empire where there would be a revolt if this happened.

I'm happy to bring pints with me to Lexington for drop off at your house, just let me know your flavor favorites : )

Do they sell pints in Lexington? They do at the Kroger here in town, but the variety isn't ever as good as it is in the shops.

  7. We saw this on the news last night. Then we shared a moment of silence. Goodbye, Raspberry Chocolate Chip. You will be missed.
