FYI Friday

1.  I've cracked open my first can of pumpkin.  It's officially Fall!  Here are some drool-worthy pumpkin recipes to get your mouth watering - Pumpkin Swirl Bread with Maple Mascarpone, Pumpkin Cheesecake Yogurt, and Pumpkin Whoopie Pies.

2.  For all my Target lovelies out there - that should be everyone - here's a little sales tip for you.  If the red markdown sticker price ends in an "8," it's going to get marked down again.  If it ends in a "4," no more markdowns, get it while you can!  I love rifling through those end caps with the marked down items.  I find more useless stuff that I never would have otherwise bought, that I somehow convince myself that I need.  Ya feel me?

3.  My children have generously given me Diastatis.   If you're a mother, new or old, chances are you might suffer from abdominal separation as well and not even realize it.  Do you do endless crunches and your midsection still doesn't deflate?  If you have diastatis, regular crunches won't work.  In fact, they may be making your condition worsen.  I've been doing some crazy exercises to bridge my gap (a full 2-fingers), but hopefully it will work!  There's only so long I can suck it in.

4.  Wes is going to his high school reunion this weekend and thankfully his friends and he have decided not to take their wives.  This is a big one - 17!  What you didn't have a 17-year high school reunion?  Man, I feel old!

5.  This is a great local resource for eating better and improving information about food.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. I made my first batch of pumpkin recipes this weekend too, along with two batches of fall soup, yummmm! I made my own pumpkin last year since I was making baby food at the time, but am happy to open cans this year : )
