Graduation Day

Where does the time go?  How is it possible that the child that I was so anxious to meet for the first time has just graduated from Preschool?  He's closing in on 5 years old and even though I feel like he should still be a toddler, he's every bit of 5.   As his teacher said, "this group of kids is one of the most prepared groups we've ever had."   I can believe it!  The words he uses, the questions he asks, and the concepts that he already understands just amaze me.   I hope his kindergarten teacher is ready!

At his graduation, the kids performed a couple songs before receiving their certificates.  Colin was front and center, probably not a coincidence considering he sang the loudest and enunciated every word of every song.  He really gets into his performance.  Maybe I should look into theater for him!

Here he is shouting "Hooray" at the end of "If You're Happy and You Know It."  By the way, as I was looking through these pictures, he had no trouble remembering exactly which song he was singing in which picture.  Thank goodness because I sure couldn't remember.

I forgot to ask him what song he was singing in this one but he's clearly very serious about it.

Serious until he spotted me in the front row and had to cheese for the camera.  Can't complain though, at least he looked!

I'm so glad he got a chance to go to the same school I did so many years ago.  I hope Sawyer gets to carry on the tradition!
