Thankful Thursday

Why is it I can think of 45 things I'm thankful for on any day but Thursday?  I'm not good under pressure.  Nonetheless, I can always come up with at least 3 things.

1)  Hand me downs.  A coworker of mine just brought me her old Radio Flyer wagon that her kids have outgrown.  The boys willingly broke it in tonight.  I'm not sure Sawyer moved - that could be because he loved it or he could have been scared to death.
2.  Self tanning lotion.  For a girl who is white as a ghost, this discovery has been life changing.  Ok, that might be a bit drastic but ever since I was little I wished I had tan skin.  The sun and I just aren't close friends but Mr. Self Tanner and I are an item.  Now if I could just find a store that stocks the brand I love, Vaseline.  If you see it, let me know (I use the medium skin tone).  I'm beginning to think it's been discontinued.  Figures.

3.  Farmer's Market.  I have no idea why this is so fun for us but we love to walk through our local Farmer's Market and usually do it at least once a weekend.  Colin loves it and doesn't understand when we don't go.  I know why he loves it - samples!  Even if we don't buy anything, we just like to walk around.  There's just something about the crisp morning air, the beautiful colors of the produce, the freshness, and all the people strolling about.

What are you thankful for?  Link up at Black Tag Diaries.

  1. My grandmother always said to check Big Lots when you think something has been discontinued ... I think they prey on items like that.

I personally love L'oreal's Sublime Bronze Towletts (http://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Sublime-Bronze-Self-Tanning-Towelettes/dp/B000GG2HOU), available at Walmart or Target ... great hint of color, not streaky or orange and natural looking.

And, we need some picture of your cuties in the wagon : )

  2. I still haven't been to Lexington's Farmers Market! The one here in town is pretty small and I've heard nothing but good things about the one in Lexington. We keep saying we're going to go and then something always happens and we don't make it. I'm really hoping we make it up there this weekend, I think Bailey would really enjoy it too.

I agree, pictures in the wagon are needed!

  4. I've never used the vaseline brand but I am going to be on the lookout for it now. I also like the jergens express brand, it works well and fast if you need to be tan for an event in a hurry.

  6. I am thankful for the farmer's market too! I love self tanner as well--if Vaseline discontinued theirs, you can always take regular self-tanner and blend it with lotion. That's what I did for years and it works pretty well.
