Big Wheels Keep On Turning

And yes I was a proud momma when I saw Colin actually use the pedals on his big wheel!  Who knew he could do it?  For months he has all but thrown a fit when anyone dared ask him to put his feet on the pedals.  You learned quick to just not ask and appreciate the fact that he'll do it when he's ready.  Well apparently ready happened some time recently and I was amazed to see his overnight progress.  Just like every other obstacle in his life thus far, he operates on his own time and probably knows how to do things long before he actually applies himself.

Downhill was about the only time he wasn't pouting.  He doesn't like the fact that you have to actually exert energy to make the pedals rotate.  I guess there's not much energy used lifting the fork to mouth, so he's just not used to this whole exercise notion.  We'll have to work on that - perfect with winter right around the corner and all.  I guess we missed our window of opportunity for this year.  In the meantime, we get this - pooped after only 10 minutes.
What he is well-versed in is flirting with the ladies.  He doesn't discriminate either.  Our neighbor had her granddaughter out and Colin took it upon himself to entertain her.  No dollar bills were exchanged but he definitely had the sheepish grin and she had her eyes glued on his every move.
What a ham!  We're off to the gym now.  Seriously, have you seen the kids midsection?  He's a beast!

  1. haha what a flirt he is =) How cute! I am the Mom that would always roll my eyes whenever people would tell me that CB would start pedaling in her own time. Although, they were right, it happens over night! One day they just pick it up and take off!
