The First Date

I certainly didn't expect to be typing that title at this stage in Colin's life.  He doesn't get his flirtatious ways from either of his parents considering Wes waited until the day before our first date to work up the nerve to ask me out and it took me another good 3-4 months to open up enough for him to know I was actually interested.  That's a story for another time though.  Colin has shown little inhibitions when it comes to the little girls in his Gymboree class or at school.

One of his favorites, you may remember, is Cady.  Well they had their first date at Monkey Joes earlier this month.  Her mother said that they had tried to take Cady to sunday school to meet some more children and become more social.  After a short time, they texted her mother to come back.  Cady said she was done, that she had Colin as a friend and that's all she needed.  I guess this little love affair is mutual!

Wes said they had a fabulous time and literally wore each other out.  Colin actually voluntarily told Wes he was tired and ready to go home - words I have still yet to hear.  That made for a good nap that day!  Here are a few pictures I bribed Wes to take to document Colin's first date.
